Frequently Asked Questions
All boat charters are limited to 13 passengers. Some boat rental companies have a lower maximum. For larger parties we can arrange multiple Captains and boats.
The Captain is NOT part of the total.
YES! All passengers count toward the total. Children under the age of 7 are required to wear a PFD (life jacket) for the entire trip.
Coolers, drinks, snacks, sunscreen, towels if desired. PLEASE NO GLASS CONTAINERS!
Most of the time, YES, depending on location. If dock pickup is not available, we can meet at a public dock or boat rental company.
YES! We help guests find the right boat rental and have access to boats of all types, from pontoons to luxury yachts.
YES! Our licensed captains can operate all types of boats, including tritoons, cruisers, and luxury yachts.
YES! If renting a boat, and hiring a captain, it legally has to be 2 separate transactions per Coast Guard regulations.
YES. Tipping your captain is customary and always appreciated. We also recommend bringing small bills for dock hands at restaurants and gas docks, typically $5 to $10 per dock hand, and 10% to 15% at gas docks.
If it is lightning and storming the day of your trip, we will try our best to reschedule the time and/or day of your trip. If that cannot be accomplished, we will refund the Captains deposit. If it is only raining, with no lightning, we will still go out.
Weekends fill up quickly at Lake of the Ozarks, especially Fridays and Saturdays, so booking early is strongly recommended. We begin taking reservations each fall for the following year.
YES. Boat rental companies provide enough life jackets for each passenger. For children under 7, you may need to bring a properly fitted life jacket.
From Flower Pot Cove and the Bagnell Dam to Party Cove, natural bluffs, stunning lake homes, and quiet coves, there is no shortage of places to explore. Add in lakeside restaurants and pool bars, and your day on the water can be as relaxed or lively as you want it to be.
